York County along with all of central Pennsylvania is under a wind advisory until 10 p.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts of 45 to 50 mph are expected through the afternoon, the service said.

The strongest wind gusts are predicted to begin around 2 p.m., according to the service.

Tree limbs could be blown down as a result of the high winds and power outages could also occur, according to the advisory.

Travel could also be difficult for vehicles like trucks and trailers.
