York County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:30 p.m. as well as other severe weather warnings, according to the National Weather Service.

A storm heading for the central part of the county on Tuesday, May 15, has produced 70 mph winds and quarter-sized hail, the NWS said. Wind damage is likely to trees, roofs, outbuildings and mobile homes, and vehicles are likely to be damaged by hail, the service said.
