The National Weather Service in State College says the latest forecast has Hurricane Joaquin staying offshore, and York County should see little or no effect from the storm.

However, the county will still experience "a good bit of rain this weekend," meteorologist Aaron Tyburski said.

Rain is expected throughout the day and night Friday along with gusts of wind reaching as high as 29 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The high will be near 57 with a low around 48.

Rain is likely on Saturday, which will be cloudy with a high near 55 and low around 50. Wind gusts could reach as high as 29 mph.

There's a chance of rain on Sunday, which will be cloudy with a high near 63 and low around 54. Wind gusts could reach as high as 20 mph.
