LONDON — The New Orleans Saints have placed veteran fullback John Kuhn on injured reserve, ending his season.
The move comes after the Dover High School graduate missed practice on Thursday because of a biceps injury.
The Saints are in London this week, where they’ll play Miami on Sunday.
Now in his 12th NFL season, the 6-foot, 250-pounder has played in two games this season with New Orleans, primarily as a blocker. He’s carried the ball once for 2 yards and seen action in 12 total snaps.
Kuhn had twice been released by the Saints this year — once before the season opener and then again before the Sept. 24 game vs. Charlotte. Kuhn was resigned before the opener and played in that game. He did not suit up, however, for the Sept. 24 game.
Kuhn was placed back on the Saints' active roster earlier this week and was expected to play in the game in London — until his injury.
The injury could put Kuhn's NFL future in limbo. He will be 36 next season.
