Robert Ballou races to $6,000 triumph at USAC sprint-car feature at BAPS Motor Speedway


Robert Ballou raced to victory in Sunday night's 30-lap United States Auto Club sprint-car feature at BAPS Motor Speedway in northern York County.


Ballou collected $6,000 for his victory.

Ballou became the third leader of the nonstop event when he wrested the lead from Chris Windom on the 11th lap and went on to score the win over Windom. 

Tyler Courtney finished third, with Kevin Thomas Jr. and Timmy Buckwalter in the top five

In the 30-lap 358/360 sprint challenge race, Spring Grove's Greg Hodnett drove to the $2,000 victory, taking the lead from Doug Hammaker on the 13th lap.

Davie Franek finished second, with Hammaker, Steve Buckwalter and Lucas Wolfe in the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Mark Smith, Chad Layton, Adam Carberry, Derek Locke and Ryan Greth.

The 20-lap USAC East Midget feature went to Alex Bright, with Steve Buckwalter, Ryan Greth, Kevin Miller and Brendon Bright in the top five.
