Rain wiped out nearly the entire local racing slate over the weekend, including all of the scheduled World of Outlaws events at Williams Grove and Lincoln speedways.

Racing was also washed out at Selinsgrove and BAPS Motor speedways.

Just a little bit out of the area, a few tracks did manage to get some racing into the books, and one local driver scored a big win in New York state.

Mark Smith scored an Empire Super Sprints 360 win at the Outlaw Speedway in New York State on Friday evening.

The victory was worth $2,125. Davey Franek was second, followed by Jason Barney, Jared Zimbardi and Lucas Wolfe.

Godown wins at Big Diamond: Big Diamond Speedway also raced Friday with the United States Auto Club wingless 360 sprints and the USAC East midgets.

Modified ace Ryan Godown won the sprint race over Eddie Strada, with Chandler Leiby, Joey Biasi and Steve Drevicki in the top five.

In the midget event, Alex Bright scored the win over Brett Arndt, Steve Buckwalter, Adam Pierson and Ryan Greth.

Jim Yoder gets surprise win at Clinton County: The limited-late models raced at Clinton County Speedway on Friday, with Jim Yoder scoring a surprise win.

The win was a surprise not because Yoder won, but because he got the win after his son, Dylan, and Matt Cochran tangled with a lapped car racing for the lead off the final turn.

The winner’s nephew Andrew Yoder finished second, followed by Devin Hart, Tim Krape and J.R. Toner.
