Ryan Flores won Saturday’s Gambler's Classic for the three-quarter midgets in Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall.

Flores picked up $5,000 for his victory in the 40-lap event.

Flores started second and trailed pole-sitter Tim Buckwalter for the first 27 laps of the race before getting the lead when slight contact between the two racers saw Buckwalter spin out of contention.

Flores went on to lead the remainder of the event to score the win over teammate Jimmy Blewett. Flores ended his indoor season in victory lane. He will be unable to attend the Albany, New York, event in two weeks because of his “real” job, which is as a tire changer for the Penske Racing mount of Ryan Blaney on the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup circuit.

Blewett held off Justin Bonsignore in the battle for second, with Matt Janisch in fourth.  Buckwalter rebounded to finish fifth. Rounding out the top 10 were Erick Rudolph, Ryan Preece, Anthoiny Sesely, Ryan Tidman and Timmy Catalano.

Friday’s four 20-lap qualifying features were won by Blewett, Earl Paulus, Tidman and Catalano.

Saturday’s 20-lap slingshot feature went to Brett Beiber, with Seth Spayd second. Tyler Truex, a cousin to NASCAR champ Martin Truex Jr., finished third.

Cale Ross won the champ-kart feature over Doug Stearly and Ryan Kendall.
