Dale Blaney wins All Star sprint race at Grandview

Dale Blaney won the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car feature at Grandview Speedway on Thursday evening.

Blaney earned $5,000 for his win in the 35-lap event.

Driver Dale Blaney of the Pennsylvania-based Zemco race team wasn’t injured in a crash that injured three in the pit area at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida on Sunday. Blaney's car was significantly damaged.

Blaney swapped the lead with early leader Lucas Wolfe several times before taking the lead for good on the 10th lap. Later in the race, Blaney had to fend off a challenge from Stevie Smith before securing the win over Sammy Swindell.

Stevie Smith finished third, with Ryan Smith and Sheldon Haudenschild in the top five.

Rounding out the top 10 were Wolfe, Chad Kemenah, J.J. Grasso, Brent Marks and Ryan Taylor.
