York Area Sports Night is now 2 for 2 in attracting hall of famers to its 2018 show.
The latest addition to the show's guest list is Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Juan Marichal.
Marichal, who is 80 years old, joins Dave Robinson, who was announced as a Sports Night guest two weeks ago. Robinson, who starred at both Penn State and with the Green Packers, is a member of both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame.
Marichal, a right-hander from the Dominican Republic known for his distinctive high leg kick, pitched 16 years in the major leagues, with the vast majority of those seasons with the San Francisco Giants.
He finished his major league career with a record of 243-142 and a 2.89 ERA. He had six 20-win seasons, including three seasons of 25 or more wins, and he made 10 National League All-Star teams.
Marichal's last season was 1975 and he was selected for the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
Show details: The 53rd annual York Area Sports Night is set for Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at the Heritage Hills Golf Resort and Conference Center.
The public celebrity reception is from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Tickets are $80 in advance and $100 at the door, if available.
From 6:15 p.m. until 7:45 p.m., there will be a an exclusive celebrity dinner with a live auction for celebrities, hosts, sponsors and guests.
