Casey Lawrence's stay in the major leagues was short-lived.

The Delone Catholic High School graduate, at the age of 29 and after a seven-year minor-league career, finally made it to the big leagues over the weekend with the Toronto Blue Jays.

The right-handed pitcher appeared in two games in relief for Toronto, pitching a combined two innings and giving up three runs, going 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA.

On Tuesday, the former Albright College standout was optioned back to Triple-A Buffalo.

Lawrence pitched for the Bisons on Wednesday night, going three shutout innings and allowing three hits. He struck out four without a walk.
