MASN's Bordick to appear in York for Hot Stove talk

Zion Lutheran Church will hold its seventh annual Hot Stove baseball talk at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the church’s sanctuary, 2215 Brandywine Lane, York.

This year’s special guest is MASN Sports color commentator Mike Bordick, who spent 14 years as a big-league shortstop and is a member of the Baltimore Orioles’ Hall of Fame.

Mike Bordick

Bordick, who played for the Orioles from 1997 to 2002, was part of the wire-to-wire club that won the 1997 American League East pennant. He was an All-Star for the Orioles in 2000 and set the major-league record for consecutive errorless games by a shortstop in 2002 with 110.

Other speakers include Mel Antonen, baseball writer for, panelist for MASN Sports and a Sirius/XM talk show host, and Dan Connolly, senior writer for and host of “The Baltimore Baseball Show,” weekly on WOYK, 1350.

The panelists will present their thoughts on the upcoming season — they’ll talk Orioles, Phillies and Major League Baseball — and will answer questions from the audience.

There is no admission fee, but a freewill offering will be taken to benefit the church’s youth ministry program. Inscribed copies of Connolly’s Orioles’ book will be available for $15 after the event.

For information, call the church at (717) 767-4673.
