Fantasy Spring Training set for York

STAFF REPORT

York County fans can spend an afternoon talking baseball with Paul White and Brent Hershey at York's Martin Library for its 25th annual Fantasy Spring Training, to be held Saturday, Feb. 6, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

The fantasy potential of Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis and other Major League Baseball players will be discussed at Fantasy Spring Training on Saturday, Feb. 6, at Martin Library.

White recently retired after 27 years on the baseball beat at USA Today as a reporter, columnist and editor of USA Today Sports Weekly and USA Today Baseball Weekly Almanac.

Brent Hershey is general manager-editorial for www.baseballhq.com.

White and Hershey will discuss how to start a fantasy league, rating the players, auction and draft strategy, predicting player performance, position ratings and creating and managing a team. A question-and-answer session will share advice and stories with fans.

The program will be held at Martin Library, 159 E. Market St., York, Pa.  Admission is by donation of $5, and registration is not required. For information, contact Fran Keller at (717) 849-6925 or email fkeller@yorklibraries.org.
