Skipjacks Hockey Club off to strong start in York

York's newest youth ice hockey club is off to a strong start to the 2016 season.

The Under-18 Skipjacks Hockey Club continued its dominance of foes this past weekend against the Connecticut Jr. Rangers by sweeping games on Saturday (7-0) and Sunday (6-2) at the York Ice Arena. The Under-16 Skipjacks split the weekend with a convincing win on Saturday night (5-2) and a shootout loss (3-2) on Sunday morning.


The Skipjacks are in their debut season in York.

The Under-18 Skipjacks are now 4-0, outscoring their foes, 24-2, while Under-16 Skipjacks are 3-1.

Next weekend, the Skipjacks travel to New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts for the Jr. Bruins Tournament.
