Dalton Rohrbaugh finished his Spring Grove High School wrestling career with his second PIAA Class 3-A bronze medal.
Rohrbaugh finished third in the 126-pound class on Saturday night, beating Bethlehem Catholic's Kenny Herrmann, 7-5, in the third-place match. A second-period near fall by Rohrbaugh proved pivotal in the victory.
Rohrbaugh completed the season at 45-3. After falling in the quarterfinals on Friday to North Hills' Sam Hillegas, Rohrbaugh rebounded with four straight wins. Hillegas went on to win the gold medal at 126.
Rohrbaugh finished his Rockets' career with a record 152 wins and will wrestle for NCAA Division I Lock Haven University next season, joining a number of other regional standouts on the Bald Eagles roster, including Kennard-Dale High School graduate Chance Marsteller.
Rohrbaugh also won a bronze medal at 106 pounds as a sophomore.
Northeastern sophomore Cole Wilson finished fourth at 113 pounds, getting pinned in the third-place match by Hempfield's Kyle Burkholder in the third period. Wilson was winning 12-0 before the pin. He had won five consecutive consolation bouts to reach that point. Wilson finished 39-5.
Central York junior Michael Wolfgram also took fourth at 285 pounds after getting pinned in the bronze-medal match by West Mifflin's Gerald Brown, the same wrestler he had dominated in the quarterfinals, 13-2. Wolfgram dropped a 5-2 decision in the semifinals to Erie Cathedral Prep's Kawaun DeBoe.
Wolfgram then won his first consolation bout, 8-5, before losing the third-place match. He finished 39-2.
South Western sophomore Ethan Baney finished eighth in the 3-A 160-pound class. Baney finished 38-8.
