WRESTLING: Kennard-Dale, Bermudian Springs suffer District 3 Class 2-A first-round losses

The York-Adams League's two representatives in the District 3 Class 2-A Team Wrestling Tournament were eliminated with first-round losses to unbeaten teams on Wednesday.

No. 8 seed Kennard-Dale dropped a 46-33 decision at top-seeded Upper Dauphin, while No. 6 Bermudian Springs fell to No. 3 Northern Lebanon at Bishop McDevitt High School, 38-32.

K-D finishes the season at 10-5. Bermudian, the York-Adams Division III champion, finishes at 14-7. Upper Dauphin entered at 14-0, while Northern Lebanon entered at 17-0. 

K-D got a pin from Daniel Eagle (170) and a decision by Aiden Stewart (113). The Rams' other 24 points came from four forfeits. 

York Tech 43, York Suburban 42: At Suburban, Todd Edick (285) picked up the lone pin for the Spartans to allow them to secure the victory. For the Trojans, Benjamin Morgan (126) picked up the lone pin. The Spartans won the match in tie-breaker fashion with most nearfall points. There were only two matches actually wrestled. The other 12 matches were forfeits.

Dover 39, Littlestown 27: At Littlestown, Dover got pins from Mason Lewis (120), Jonathan Firestone (126) and Dakota Grim (132). Lewis and Firestone each got their pins in less than 25 seconds.
