Trailing 2-0 to the Dallastown girls' volleyball team, Spring Grove came roaring back, winning the final three games of the match to steal the victory, 21-25, 20-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-9, on Thursday night, Sept. 7.

The Rockets got big offensive performances from Airika McCaskill and Kendra Miller, who both finished with 10 kills. Kaylyn Zeigler led the team with 18 assists, while Faith Shaffer had a team-high 20 digs and Miller came up with 11. Miller was also a force at the net, finishing with 10 blocks, while Sky Wolfe contributed eight.

For the Wildcats, Delaney Kolb put away 14 kills, while Tatiana Matuszewski had nine and Lydia Stump finished with eight. Gabby Ream passed for 32 assists and Lexi Kalligonis came up with 19 digs.

Dallastown won the JV match, 2-0.

Littlestown 3, York Tech 0: At Spry, the Thunderbolts won, 25-8, 25-9, 25-7. Emily Staub led the Thunderbolts with 12 aces, 11 assists and three kills. Littlestown won the JV match 2-0. 

South Western 3, Red Lion 0: At Hanover, the Mustangs cruised, 25-10, 25-16, 25-14. Madisyn McMaster was the big performer for South Western, totaling 18 assists, 17 digs and eight kills. Red Lion got 15 digs from Jenna Enfield and two blocks from Maddie Grim. South Western won the JV match, 2-1.

Dover 3, New Oxford 0: At Dover, the Eagles rolled, 25-18, 25-12, 25-17. Emma Davis led Dover with 12 kills and four aces, while Abby Diehl had 27 assists and Chayce Hoffman finished with 18 digs. New Oxford got eight kills and 12 digs from Taylor Laughman. New Oxford won the JV match, 2-0.

Eastern York 3, Susquehannock 1: At Wrightsville, the Golden Knights prevailed, 25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23. Abby Smith had 12 kills to lead Eastern, while Brooke LeCesa had 11 kills and 10 digs and Katie LEhman finished with 28 assists and 14 digs. For Susquehannock, Jaden Walker finished with 12 kills and 16 digs and Amber Bortner came up with 30 digs. Susquehannock won the JV match, 2-0.

Kennard-Dale 3, York High 0: At Fawn Grove, the Rams triumphed, 25-11, 25-21, 27-25 victory. Jess Moore had seven kills to lead K-D, while Lexie Kopko had a team-high three aces. York High’s Jae Fitch had three kills and Keysha Diaz finished with three digs. K-D won the JV match, 2-0.

York Catholic 3, Fairfield 0: At Fairfield, the Irish rolled, 25-10, 25-13, 25-10. Emily Hoffman (10 assists, four kills), Abby Pilkey (10 kills), Bella Kepner (eight kills, eight digs), McKenna Walker (10 digs) and Megan Daugherty (14 assists) paced the Irish. York Catholic won the JV match, 2-0.
