The Red Lion boys' and girls' track and field teams swept their meets at Central York on Tuesday, with the boys winning, 91-59, and the girls winning, 82-68.
On the boys’ side, the Lions got a standout performance from Paul Jones, who helped the team rack up points with wins in the 200 dash and triple jump. Red Lion also won two of the three relays, taking first in the 3,200 and 1,600 events. Central’s Evan Czulada won the pole vault.
In the girls’ meet, Jayla Godfrey paced the Lions, winning the 100 and 300 hurdles and then also won the triple jump. Also in the field events, Red Lion earned two victories from Brianna Wanbaugh in the shot put and discus. The Panthers won two of the three relays, capturing the 3,200 and 1,600 relays, while Alexis Baublitz continues to dominate in the pole vault, winning Tuesday’s event at 10 feet.
OTHER BOYS' TRACK AND FIELD
Dallastown 81, South Western 69: At Hanover, the Wildcats were led individually by Bryce Gable winning the 3,200 and 1,600 runs, while teammate Justin Tracy captured the 300 hurdles and long jump.
Gettysburg 92, Susquehannock 58: Edny Celius and Ravaughn Dillard had big days in leading the Warriors to victory. Celius won the 110 hurdles, 100, 200 and was part of the winning 400 relay team. Dillard dominated in the field, sweeping the long, triple and high jumps. Joseph McDonnell (3,200), Ryan Myers (shot put), Jonathan Anderson (discus) and Zakary Kettinger (javelin) each won an event for Susquehannock.
York Tech 101, Delone Catholic 40: At Spry, Bry’quan Sweeney helped the Spartans cruise by capturing the 100 and 200 as well as participating on the victorious 400 and 1,600 relay teams. Kole Shenberger won the long jump, high jump and 110 hurdles for York Tech.
West York 87, Dover 59: At West York, the Bulldogs were led individually by Shane Kauffman (100, 200), Connor Schroll (1,600, 3,200) and Ay'Juan Marshall (110 and 300 hurdles). For the Eagles, Keith Davis won the triple jump and long jump.
New Oxford 79, Spring Grove 71: At Spring Grove, Ben Rivera won the 100 and high jump and Brock Hartman captured the shot put and discus to help the Colonials grab the victory. Justin Culp won the 800 and 1,600 for the Rockets. Spring Grove’s Devin Wherley won the 100 and 200,
York Suburban 132, Northeastern 18: At Manchester, the Trojans captured first in 17 of the 18 events. Individually for the Trojans, Andrew Paskey won the 110 and 300 hurdles, Bodhi Wilson won the high jump and 200, Peter Wagner won the 3,200 and 1,600, while Kenneth Klein won the javelin and discus.
OTHER GIRLS' TRACK AND FIELD
West York 96, Dover 53: At West York, Katie Tallman led the Bulldogs by capturing individual wins in the pole vault, shot put and discus. Also for West York, Bethany Weaver won the 1,600 and 3,200, while Audrey Kinney won the triple jump and long jump. For the Eagles, Payton Mulder won the 100 and 300 hurdles.
Gettysburg 84, Susquehannock 66: At Gettysburg, the visitors were led individually by Kayla Bennett capturing the 100 hurdles and high jump.
Delone Catholic 85, York Tech 65: At Spry, D’Shanna Edwards won the javelin, shot put and discus for the Spartans. York Tech’s Genesis Garrett won the 100 and was a part of the winning 400 relay team.
South Western 87, Dallastown 63: At Hanover, Lynne Mooradian led the Mustangs by capturing individual victories in the long jump, 100 and 300 hurdles. For the Wildcats, Lydia Trout won the 3,200 and 1,600.
Spring Grove 97, New Oxford 53: At Spring Grove, Zoe Stauffer won both hurdles races for the Rockets. Madison Smith won the javelin, shot put and discus for New Oxford.
York Suburban 106, Northeastern 44: At Manchester, the Trojans captured first in six of the seven field events. Individually for the visitors, Madison James won the triple jump and javelin, while Morgan Taylor won the shot put and discus. For the Bobcats, Lauren Williamson won the 100 and 200.
