BOYS' TENNIS: Dallastown boys keep on rolling
The Dallastown boys' tennis team continued its perfect York-Adams League season on Monday with a convincing 6-1 win over a strong New Oxford team.
The Wildcats improved to 14-3 overall and 6-0 in York-Adams Division I. New Oxford fell to 10-3 and 4-2.
Holden Koons, Hunter Jones, Sachin Venkatesh and Tyler Lilie won in singles to sew up the match for Dallastown. Lilie and Venkatesh also had a hand in doubles wins.
The Wildcats' next match is a home showdown against South Western at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. South Western is also 6-0 in D-I action.
OTHER BOYS' TENNIS
Susquehannock 4, Bermudian Springs 3: At York Springs, Brendan Paules and Zachary Beam teamed up for the Warriors at No. 2 doubles to pick up the deciding match victory. Paules, Beam and John Yancheski also earned singles victories for Susquehannock.
York Catholic 6, York Suburban 1: At Suburban, the Fighting Irish won all five singles matches. Michael Andrews, Alberto Bruno, Nicholas Gingerich, T.J. McGraw and Mason Elliot picked up the singles victories, while McGraw and Elliot teamed up to also win a doubles point.
South Western 6, Red Lion 1: At Hanover, Ben Sentz, Gavin Kenny, Patrick Kane, Ryan Hohman and Jacob Biondo swept the singles matches for the Mustangs, who improved to 10-1 overall.
Spring Grove 7, West York 0: At Spring Grove, the Rockets received straight-set singles victories from Grant Wierman, Garrett Leib, Jeffery Bauer, Blake Harlacher and Dominick Ott.
