West York’s Trinity Thomas finished second in the girls’ competition on Wednesday night in the District 3 Class 2-A Diving Championships at Big Spring High School.
Shannon McCabe of Big Spring finished first. Thomas finished with a 365.50 total, while McCabe finished at 418.75.
Thomas did earn a berth to the state 2-A diving championships.
Boiling Springs’ Jack Still won the boys’ crown at 405.00, while Trinity’s Riley Spahr was second at 376.50.
Dover’s Jud Pequignnot took fourth at 329.80. Pequignot just missed out on a state berth, finishing 10 points behind Boiling Springs' Jordan Morret (339.70) for the district's third and final state spot.
