PIAA says state swim meet won't start until Thursday

STAFF REPORT
Dallastown's Logan Brockway is one of the York County swimmers expected to compete in the PIAA Swimming Championships. The event was originally scheduled to run Wednesday through Saturday. Because of the impending snowstorm, however, the event will not start before Thursday. The PIAA has yet released the compressed, revised schedule.

The PIAA has revised the schedule for its state swimming and diving championships.

The event was scheduled to begin Wednesday and run through Saturday. The Class 2-A events were set for Wednesday and Thursday, while 3-A events were set for Friday and Saturday.

Because of Tuesday's impending major snow storm, the 2017 championships are now scheduled for Thursday through Sunday at Bucknell University's Kinney Natatorium. The 2-A action will now happen Thursday and Friday, while the 3-A competition will be Saturday and Sunday.

The diving championships have been moved to March 25 (2-A) and March 26 (3-A), also at Bucknell.
