The York Suburban boys’ and girls’ swimming teams swept their non-league meet at Red Lion on Thursday.
The Trojan girls secured a 119.5-50.5 win, while the boys won their meet, 107-63.
Jenna Hufnagle secured wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle events and was also part of the victorious 400 free relay team for Suburban, while the team as a whole won all 11 events. Megan Hunt won the 100 breaststroke, individually, and then also helped the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay teams capture first.
On the boys’ side, the Trojans won seven of 11 events, including two relays. Karl Schmittle won the 100 butterfly for Suburban, while Alex Patterson won by nearly half a second in the 50 free. Jacob Lorenzen took home first in the 200 and 500 free events and was also part of the winning 400 free relay team for Red Lion.
Dallastown 123, Susquehannock 47: At Dallastown, the Wildcats captured first in nine of the 11 events. Individually for the Wildcats, Logan Brockway won the 200 IM and 100 back and Jacob Stoner won the 50 free and 100 fly. For the Warriors, Logan McFadden won the 200 free and 100 breast.
New Oxford 89, West York 79: At Graham Aquatic Center, individually for the Colonials, Alex Pecher won the 100 back and 50 free, while teammate Kyle DuPree won the 500 free and 100 breast. For the Bulldogs, Jake Spangler won the 200 free and 100 fly.
Central York 123, Northeastern 51: At Pleasureville, the Panthers won all three relays. Alex Forry was huge for Central, winning the 50 free and 100 free events and was also part of the victorious 200 free and 400 free relay teams. Northeastern’s Drew Wilson was unbeatable in the distance events, winning the 200 free and 500 free.
Spring Grove 93, Dover 88: At Spring Grove, the Rockets grabbed a narrow win. No other details were reported.
Dallastown 134, Susquehannock 33: At Dallastown, the Wildcats captured all 11 events. Individually for the Wildcats, Morgan Merrifield won the 50 free and 100 fly, Jenna Woods won the 200 and 500 free and Emma Balderson won the 100 free and 100 back.
West York 98, New Oxford 72: At Graham Aquatic Center, the Bulldogs captured first in 10 of the 11 events. Individually for the Bulldogs, Courtney Harnish won the 200 IM and 500 free, while Meghan French won the 200 free and 100 back.
Central York 134, Northeastern 48: At Pleasureville, the Panthers won all three relays. Micah Sopko (200 free, 100 fly) and Gabby Miller (100 free, 100 breast) each won two individual events for Central. Lauren Williamson won the one-meter diving for Northeastern, while Katie Mummert was victorious in the 500 free.
Spring Grove 112, Dover 74: At Spring Grove, the home team cruised to the win. No other details were reported.
