SWIMMING: West York, Dover split

The West York and Dover swimming teams split their York-Adams Division II meets on Thursday at the Graham Aquatic Center.

.

The West York girls triumphed, 93-77, while the Dover boys were victorious, 104-66.

In the girls' meet, Maddie Stoner, Meghan French, Maelyn Elder and Taylor Hoover had big days for the Bulldogs triumph. They teamed to win the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays before going on to individual success. Stoner won the 50 free and 100 free, French captured the 500 free, Hoover took the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke and Elder won the 100 butterfly.

In the boys' meet, Hunter Link was victorious in the 200 free and 500 free, and was also part of the victorious 400 free relay team for Dover. West York’s Jake Spangler won the 50 free, 200 IM and 100 breaststroke races, while also helping the Bulldogs win the 200 free relay.

BOYS' SWIMMING

York Suburban 126, Susquehannock 62: At Suburban, the Trojans captured first in all 11 events. Individually for the Trojans, Karl Schmittle won the 200 IM and 100 back, Aidan Fryar won the 100 free and 50 free and Matt Spinello won the 100 fly and 100 breast.

Red Lion 95, New Oxford 75: At Red Lion, Dylan North and Alex Sun each had solid performances for Red Lion, with North capturing first in the 200 free and 100 back, while Sun captured first in the 100 fly and 100 free. Both were also part of the victorious 400 free relay team. For New Oxford, Kyle DuPree won the 200 IM and and 100 breast, while also part of the winning 200 medley relay team.

Gettysburg 121, Northeastern 52: At Manchester, Chandler Desotelle led the Warriors by winning the 200 IM and 100 free. For the Bobcats, Drew Wilson won the 500 free and 200 free.

Dallastown 144, South Western 39: At South Western, Jacob Stoner, Logan Brockway and Spencer Hill found lots of success in the easy Wildcats victory. All were on the winning 200 medley relay team and Stoner and Hill were also winners with the 200 free relay team. Stoner won the 50 free and 100 butterfly individually, while Brockway won the 200 free and Hill took the 200 IM.

GIRLS' SWIMMING

Red Lion 102, New Oxford 68: At Red Lion, Devin Sevret swam to victories in the 200 free and 500 free for Red Lion, while also being part of the victorious 400 free relay team.

York Suburban 64, Susquehannock 30: At Suburban, the Trojans captured first in 10 of the 11 events. Individually for the Trojans, Carson Gross won the 200 free and 100 free.

Northeastern 136, Gettysburg 47: At Manchester, the Bobcats captured first in 11 of the 12 events. Individually for the Bobcats, Lauren Mummert won the 200 free and 500 free, while Abby Braswell won the 50 free and 100 back.

Dallastown 140, South Western 43: At South Western, the Wildcats team of Emma Balderson, Jena Woods, Kacey Oberlander and Sydney Hoover was a force to be reckoned with in the easy victory. That group teamed to win the 200 medley and and 200 free relay races. Balderson won the 50 free and 100 free individual races, while Woods won the 200 free and 100 breast and Oberlander won the 200 IM and 100 butterfly.
