Central York's Courtney Coppersmith struck out a whopping 20 batters in the Panthers' 3-2, 10-inning softball victory over New Oxford on Friday.

Coppersmith allowed just four hits and one walk. She also had two hits at the plate, including a triple.

Briana Smith, Natalie Craig and Erin Cabry each added two hits for the Panthers.

Alanna Molz struck out eight in a losing cause for New Oxford.

Central improved to 2-0 on the season.
