Littlestown edged visiting Kennard-Dale 5-4 on Tuesday in a showdown of York-Adams League Division III softball leaders.
The first-place Lady Thunderbolts improved to 13-1 overall and 10-0 in the division. Second-place K-D fell to 10-6 and 9-3.
Kelsie Dews led the Thunderbolts by going 2 for 3 with one run scored. For the Rams, Kaila Beach went 2 for 4, including a homer, with two RBIs; Alexis Valentine went 2 for 4 with one RBI; Madelyn Miller went 3 for 3, including a double; and Megan Gereny went 2 for 4 with a double. Valentine also threw a complete game, striking out three and walking none.
Dover 7, Northeastern 0: At Dover, Taylor Lamparter and Kaydee Krone combined on a three-hit shutout. Lamparter went five innings, striking out five and walking three. Krone hurled the final two frames, striking our four and walking two. Lamparter also had two hits. Meghan Goodman led Dover with three hits, while Natalie Cutright banged two doubles. Cierra Hockensmith, Jordan Baum and Alyssa Lawton also provided two hits apiece for Dover. Lawton also had two stolen bases, while Hockensmith doubled. Dover improved to 11-4 overall and 9-3 in York-Adams Division II.
Dallastown 7, South Western 0: At Hanover, Jaelynn Harbold led the Wildcats by throwing a shutout, striking out six and walking three. Teammate Delaney Kolb doubled. Dallastown improved to 10-2 in York-Adams Division I and 12-2 overall.
