The Gettysburg softball team saw its bats come alive in the final innings of Thursday's game to double up West York, 10-5, at home.

The Warriors allowed four of the five runs the Bulldogs scored in the game in the first two innings, and foundĀ themselves down 4-2 after two innings. After that, however, pitcher Shanna Martin settled in and her team's bats woke up, scoring eight runs from the fourth through sixth innings to erase Gettysburg's deficit and cruise to the victory.

Briana Crushong, Taylor Mummert and Alexis Kennedy all drove in two runs for the Warriors, with Mummert providing a home run. Meanwhile, Martin wound up tossing a complete game, allowing five runs, although only one was earned, on nine hits, three walks and four strikeouts.

West York got multi-hit performances from Leah Jameson, Paige Weekly and Breanna Harvey.
