Rachel Butler belted a triple and a double and drove in four runs to lead Central York to a 12-7 non-league softball triumph over visiting Cedar Cliff on Wednesday afternoon.
Butler also came on in relief of starting pitcher Courtney Coppersmith in the fourth to finish the game, striking out four, walking none and allowing no runs to pick up the win.
Also for Central, Erin Cabry went 3 for 5 with two runs scored; Lorna Colberg went 2 for 4, including a double, with three runs scored; Coppersmith went 2 for 3 with a double and Cameryn Rothrock went 2 for 3.
Pequea Valley 3, Northeastern 2: At Pequea Valley, the Braves broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the eighth. For the Bobcats, Belle Bortner threw a complete game, striking out three and walking one.
Solanco 10, Red Lion 5: At Solanco, the Lions trailed 6-0 after three innings and couldn't recover. Hailey Inguanti led the Lions with a triple.
