Delone Catholic is the last York-Adams softball team left standing.
The Squirettes rolled to a 8-0 triumph over Upper Dauphin on Thursday in a District 3-AA quarterfinal contest in McSherrystown.
Top-seeded Delone improved to 17-5, while No. 8 seed Upper Dauphin finished at 12-10.
The Squirettes move to Tuesday's semifinals and will face No. 4 seed Susquenita (17-5) at 4:30 p.m. at Garrett Park. The Blackhawks downed down No. 5 seed Pequea Valley 3-0 in their quarterfinal contest on Thursday. Pequea Valley finished 13-8.
Cassie Rickrode pitched a two-hit shutout for Delone, striking out five and walking one.
Shelbee Holcomb had two hits, including a double, and had two RBIs to lead the Squirettes. Katie Laughman homered for Delone.
The Squirettes had just four hits, but were helped by seven walks and three Upper Dauphin errors. Delone, meanwhile, played errorless ball.
Twin Valley 3, Littlestown 2: At York College, the seventh-seeded Lady Bolts couldn't hold on to a 2-0, sixth-inning lead in a District 3-AAA quarterfinal battle. Littlestown's season ended at 18-5. No. 2 seed Twin Valley improved to 20-5. Mckenzie Somers pitched a complete-game six-hitter for Littlestown, striking out two and walking one. She also had two of Littlestown's five hits. Twin Valley scored two in the bottom of the sixth to tie it and scored one with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with the victory.
