YORK-ADAMS SOFTBALL: Dallastown rolls, moves into tie for first in Division I
Dallastown 8, South Western 1: At Dallastown, the Wildcats rolled behind a complete-game two-hitter from pitcher JaeLynn Harbold, who struck out eight and walked two. Lyndee Anders was 4-for-4 for the winners. Haylee Anders, Kayla Collins, Madisyn Johnson and Kayla Flemmens each added two hits for Dallastown. Haylee Anders and Johnson tripled, while Harbold and Kayla Collins doubled. Katelin Willingham had both South Western hits. Dallastown (10-2 overall) moved into a first-place tie with Central York in York-Adams Division I at 9-1.
Red Lion 16, Northeastern 6: At Manchester, the Lions used two big innings (six runs in the fourth and five runs in the seventh) to grab the win. Megan Teal led the Lions, going 2-for-5, including a three-run homer. Also for the Lions, Brynn Leiphard went 2-for-4, Serena Zearfoss went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Hayley Taylor went 2-for-5, including a double. For the Bobcats, Katelynn Reed went 3-for-5.
Kennard-Dale 15, Hanover 0: At Fawn Grove, the Rams rolled to a three-inning, mercy-rule triumph, helped by 13 walks allowed by Hanover pitching. Brittany Orwig pitched three shutout innings to get the win, allowing two hits. She struck out two and walked none. K-D needed just four hits to plate 15 runs. K-D improved to 12-1 overall and 9-0 in York-Adams Division III.
