In a meeting of two of the top teams in the York-Adams League, Central York downed visiting Dover 7-4 on Thursday.
With the win, Central moved into a first-place tie with Dallastown atop Division I at 7-1. The Panthers are 9-1 overall.
Dover, meanwhile, dropped to 8-4 overall and 6-2 in Division II. The Eagles, however, still lead Division II.
Kayla Resh picked up the win on the mound, going 6 2/3 innings and allowing zero earned runs. Dover plated four runs in the seventh, but they were all unearned. Rachel Butler got the save by getting the final out in the seventh.
Resh also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a run scored. Briannah Dobson led Central at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs, while Butler doubled and tripled and scored two runs.
Alexis Gohn had two hits and an RBI for Dover, while Karsyn Blauser also had two hits and Natalie Cutright doubled. Taylor Lamparter pitched a complete game for Dover.
Kennard-Dale 9, Bermudian Springs 2: At York Springs, the Rams continued their perfect York-Adams Division III season, improving to 6-0 in the division and 9-1 overall. Alexis Valentine pitched a complete-game six-hitter, striking out 11 and walking one. She was also 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs. Kaila Beach was 3-for-3 for the winners, including a double, with two RBIs and two runs scored.
York Suburban 10, Biglerville 4: At Suburban, Emily Turybury led the Trojans, going 3-for-3, including a double. Also for Suburban, Olivia Eytcheson went 2-for-4, including a triple, with three RBIs; Sarah Hartinger went 2-for-2; and Susan Lloyd went 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Eytcheson also picked up the complete-game victory on the mound, striking out seven and walking none.
Eastern York 19, York Catholic 0 (3 Innings): At Wrightsville, the Golden Knights led 10-0 after the first inning and cruised from there. Karley Livelsberger led the Golden Knights, going 2-for-3, including a double. Teammate Ashton Evans went 2-for-3.
