The Red Lion boys’ soccer team shut out rival Dallastown on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2-0, at home to earn a York-Adams League Division I victory.

The Lions carried a 1-0 lead into halftime on a goal by Michael Moffit and then extended their cushion with a second-half goal from Ethan Stough. Brandon Ebersole assisted on Moffit’s goal, while Nathan Steiner added an assist on Stough’s tally.

Red Lion made the most of its opportunities, scoring on two of its three shots on goal, while the Wildcats were held off the board, despite registering 10 shots on target. Lions’ keeper Lavi McKeever made seven saves in the win.

BOYS' SOCCER

Central York 4, New Oxford 1: At Pleasureville, Zach Mummert scored two first-half goals goals for Central, while Trace Becker netted two second-half scores. Jake Broederdorf had two assists for the Panthers.

Susquehannock 2, Eastern York 0: At Glen Rock, Connor Dills and Zach Buchanan provided the goals. Eastern keeper Lucas Jowanowitch had 16 saves.

Gettysburg 1, York Suburban 0: At Gettysburg, Cade Wilhelm's first-half goal was the only score. Cody Willoughby had six saves in a losing cause.

GIRLS' SOCCER

Dallastown 4, Red Lion 0: At Dallastown, Laken Fry scored twice to lead the Wildcats. Lily Jamison and Carsyn Gold also scored for Dallastown.

Dover 2, West York 0: At Dover, Kylie Firestone and Kacie Hoppel scored goals and Kelsey Gamber got the shutout in goal for the Eagles.

Lancaster County Christian 5, Christian School of York 4, OT: At Lancaster, the Crusaders dropped a high-scoring overtime affair, despite a four-goal outing from Kendis Butler and a three-assist effort from Claire Harbaugh. Amani Monroe stopped 22 shots in goal for CSY.

South Western 1, Northeastern 1, OT: At Manchester, Macey Bahlow scored for the Mustangs, while Amanda Leisses scored for the Bobcats.
