SOCCER: Central York boys stay unbeaten in Division I


The Central York boys' soccer team remained unbeaten in York-Adams League Division I boys' soccer action on Monday with a 2-0 triumph at Red Lion.

The game was scoreless at the half before Central netted two second-half scores, including one from Ryan Balanda.

Central is now 6-0-1 in York-Adams League Division I action.

Red Lion fell to 3-4 in the division.

Dover 6, Littlestown 1: At Littlestown, Connor Speir had three goals and an assist for Dover, while Travis Hill also had three goals.

York Catholic 3, Delone Catholic 1: At York Catholic, Seth Falvey led the Irish with one goal and two assists. York Catholic's Nick Bartkowiak scored one goal and added one assist, while Tate Kibler scored one goal and Ethan Higgins made six stops in goal.

Bermudian Springs 1, York Suburban 0: At York Springs, Cole King scored in the 23rd minute to provide the game’s only offense. It was Bermudian's only shot of the match.

Ephrata 10, Spring Grove 0: At Spring Grove, the home team got 23 saves from Trevor Kern in the non-league loss.


York Catholic 6, Delone Catholic 1: At McSherrystown, MaCayla Welsh scored three goals to lead the Irish. Amanda Tufano, Eden Jahn and Caroline Bandelin each scored one goal for the winners, while Melanie Matthews, Madison Perry and Renee Bonner each had one assist.

Hershey 3, Central York 2 (OT): At Central York, Lauren Epler found the back of the net at the 5:42 mark of overtime to clinch the victory. For the Panthers, Mia Balderston and Catalina Feistritzer each scored one goal, while Katie Fabbri and Rachel Wilhelm added one assist apiece.

York Suburban 6, Bermudian Springs 0: At Suburban, Paige Bulgarelli led the Trojans by scoring two goals and adding one assist. Roma Williams scored one goal and added one assist, while Eriana Smiley, Katie Wand and Madison James each scored one goal, while Sophia Matey and Kendi Hood each picked up one assist.

Red Land 5, Dover 1: At Dover, the Eagles' only goal came from Jordan James in the first half on the non-league contest.

Biglerville 1, Kennard-Dale 0: At Fawn Grove, Natalie Alvarez scored for Biglerville, while keeper Kylie Kane made 12 saves for the Canners. Alexis Youngblood had six saves for K-D.
