SOCCER: Central York boys earn road win over Hershey


Carter Luckenbaugh converted a Nate Hubbs assist at 22:34 of the first half and that would be all Central York needed to secure a 2-0 non-league victory at Hershey High School on Monday.

Zak Kakos scored on a Trace Becker assist in the second half to complete the Panthers’ scoring.


Kameron Stoll posted four saves in goal to record the shutout for Central York (7-2 overall).

The Panthers finished with a 10-4 edge in shots and an 8-1 margin in corner kicks.



Trinity 4, York Catholic 2: At York Catholic, the Irish were level at halftime with the Shamrocks, but conceded three times in the second half. Ethan Herstek scored three times for Trinity, while Derek Dryndall had a goal and two assists. York Catholic’s Gianni Hill scored both Irish goals and keeper Ethan Higgins made six saves in goal.

Kennard-Dale 3, Eastern York 1: At Fawn Grove, the Rams scored twice in the first half to take a 2-1 lead into the break and then scored the only goal in the second half to earn the win. Craig Potts, Dean DiNatale and Chance Logue all scored for K-D. Eastern’s only goal came late in the first half on a penalty from Brahk Morrison.

Red Lion 3, Spring Grove 0: At Spring Grove, the visitors blanked the hosts. No other details were reported.


Susquehannock 1, York Catholic 0: At Glen Rock, Taylor Tannura found the back of the net in the first half to give the Warriors the win. Teammate Maggie Sisler made three stops in goal. For the Irish, Amelia Strayer made five saves in goal.

Penn Manor 6, Spring Grove 1: At Millersville, the only Spring Grove goal came from Abbie Marquette in the 65th minute.

Littlestown 3, Kennard-Dale 3: At Fawn Grove, the Rams and Thunderbolts played to a draw. No other details were reported.
