York-Adams League lacrosse playoff pairings set

The official pairings for the York-Adams League lacrosse playoffs have been released.

The boys' and girls' tournaments get started Wednesday with semifinal doubleheaders at Red Lion and Dallastown.

Morgan Bowings (center) and Kennard-Dale won't have a chance to defend their District 3 title against larger schools after being put in the Class 2-A bracket for the inaugural season of two classifications in lacrosse.

The championship doubleheader is slated for Friday at Central York, with the girls' final at 5:30 p.m., and the boys' championship to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.

In the boys' semifinals, No. 1 seed Central York (15-1 overall, 13-0 York-Adams League) faces No. 4 seed Dallastown (11-4, 9-4) at Red Lion, while No. 2 seed York Catholic (12-3, 11-2) takes on No. 3 seed Red Lion (12-5, 10-3) at Dallastown. Both games are slated for 7 p.m. starts. York Catholic is the defending league tournament champion.

In the girls' semifinals, No. 1 seed Kennard-Dale (13-1-1, 11-0-1) battles No. 4 seed South Western (10-5, 7-5) at Red Lion, while No. 2 seed Susquehannock (16-2, 11-1) will meet No. 3 seed York Catholic (12-2-1, 10-1-1) at Dallastown. The start times for both games is 5:30 p.m. Kennard-Dale is the two-time defending champion and has won five of the six league girls' playoff crowns.
