LACROSSE: Dallastown boys now alone in first place


Dallastown is now alone in first place in the York-Adams League boys' lacrosse standings.

The Wildcats downed visiting South Western on Thursday night, 8-5, to improve to 5-0 both overall and in the league. Dallastown has a half-game lead over both York Catholic and Central York, who each sit at 4-0 in the league. Both York Catholic and Central York had their scheduled matches on Thursday rained out.


South Western fell to 2-3 both overall and in the league.

Ethan Pickett poured in five goals for Dallastown, while Josh Sebastian added a goal and an assist. Andrew Kvasnovsky and Tanner Haines also scored for the winners.

Taylor Bumgarner had seven saves to get the win in goal. Dallastown had a 28-12 edge in shots.


Spring Grove 13, Dover 9: At Spring Grove, Lauren Grove and Sam Richards led the Rockets to the victory by each scoring four goals. Teammate Casey Franklin scored three goals. For the Eagles, Paige Lantz scored four goals, while Riley Lawton scored two goals and Shaley Gamble scored one goal and added one assist.
