LACROSSE: Susquehannock boys triumph vs. South Western


Susquehannock used a big 7-1 second-half spurt to pull away for a 14-7 boys' lacrosse victory over visiting South Western on Thursday.

Aidan Kirkendall and Anthony DeVincent each scored four times for Susquehannock, while Jack Allred had three goals and two assists. For South Western, Carson Perry was the big performer, scoring four of his team’s seven goals.



York Catholic 16, Spring Grove 12: At Spring Grove, Luke Brennan (four goals, assist), Tanner Yanick (three goals, two assists) and Eli Doyle (two goals, three assists) powered the Irish. Spring Grove's leaders were Tanner Bolton (five goals, assist), Bryce Kephart (three goals, three assists) and Dylan Griffiths (three goals, two assists).

West York 16, New Oxford 6: Ryan McCauley (four goals, assist), Cam Goodling (three goals), Cody Richter (two goals, two assists), Nick Cintron (two goals, assist), Zac Hess (two goals, assist) and Nathan Townsley (two goals, assist) powered the Bulldogs. Owen Tiro had saves for West York.

Red Lion 19, Kennard-Dale 1: At Fawn Grove, Jac Gemmill recorded five goals and five assists in the Lions’ lopsided victory. Sam Emig also had a five-goal night to go along with two assists.


Kennard-Dale 22, Red Lion 9: At Red Lion, A 10-point effort from Emmie Dressel helped the Rams cruise. Dressel finished with six goals and four assists. Teammates Claire Gamache and Maddie Day each scored four more goals for K-D. Alyssa Adams led Red Lion with three goals. Emily Harrington scored two goals and added an assist for the Lions.

Susquehannock 9, South Western 4: At South Western, the Warriors utilized a heavy 27-9 advantage in shots to best their hosts. Rachel Marshner led all scorers with three goals. She also added a pair of assists. Emma Stiffler and Maddie Ellis each scored two goals for the victors. Elizabeth Antoshak recorded a goal and an assist to lead South Western.

York Catholic 19, Spring Grove 4: At York Catholic, the Fighting Irish jumped out to a 15-3 halftime lead. Lindsey China scored six times for York Catholic, while Lisa Casagrande added three goals. Spring Grove got a two-goal effort by Lauren Grove.

Central York 15, Dallastown 9: At Central, Addy Billings led the Panthers by scoring six goals and adding one assist. Teammates Jill Czaplinski and Lauren Ogurcak each scored two goals and added one assist, while Alexa Glatfelter scored two goals. For the Wildcats, Olivia Orendorf and Skyler Wilt each scored two goals, while Olivia Jackson and Melissa Clapsaddle each scored one goal and added one assist.

New Oxford 8, West York 4: At West York, Braxtin Reddinger led the Colonials by scoring seven of the eight New Oxford goals. For the Bulldogs, Ally Williams scored two goals.
