In the first meeting of the season between a pair of York County rivals in the CPIHL Rothrock Division, a big third period from Central York earned it a convincing victory over Dallastown, 6-2, at York City Ice Arena.

Through two periods, Central York (4-0) held a slim 3-2 advantage over Dallastown. However, a three-goal outburst in the final frame saw Central pull away and send Dallastown to a fourth consecutive loss to begin the season.

Jacob Nagy recorded a hat-trick for Central York, while Levi Crerand, Wesley Copenheaver II and Jordan Kline also found the back of the net. For Dallastown, Duncan Webber and Ian Smith each scored a goal.

Central dominated the contest, outshooting Dallastown, 44-15, forcing Dallastown goalie Dylan O'Neil to come up with 38 saves in the loss.

Susquehannock skates to tie: The Susquehannock hockey team skated to a 6-6 tie against MSM United at Twin Ponds West in Rothrock Division play.

Despite the high-scoring affair, nothing could separate the two sides.

Susquehannock (0-2-1) scored the game's first two goals and held a 2-1 lead after the first. However, back-to-back goals by MSM United (0-3-1) leveled the score early in the second period and, after that, the team's traded goals the rest of the way.

Alan Reider and Ryan Myers each scored twice for Susky, while Owen Marcase and Cody Rodgers also scored. Reider added two assists to complete his four-point game. Cade Baker couldn't be stopped for MSM United, scoring four of his team's six goals.
