The Central York ice hockey team easily took apart Elizabethtown on Wednesday night, winning 10-0 in a Central Penn Interscholastic Hockey League Tier 2 game at York City Ice Arena.

The Panthers (9-4-1, 19 points) struck for four goals in the first period and then five more in the second to open up a commanding lead and then put the game to rest with a goal in the third.

Cody Rumsey and Jordan Kline each had two-goal nights for Central York, while Rumsey completed a six-point performance by adding four assists. Eight different Panthers scored in the game, while 11 tallied at least one point. Thomas Knapp had a goal and three assists, Garrett Myers had a goal and an assist and Kline had two goals to complete the multi-point performers.

Griffin Long needed to face just 11 shots to earn the shutout against an Elizabethtown team that is now just 1-15 on the year.

With the win, Central York remains in a tie for second place in the Tier 2 standings with Annville-Cleona, but has a game in hand.
