CY/Dallastown erupts in third for win

The Central York/Dallastown Tier 3 hockey team erupted for five goals in the third period to upend the Shamrocks on Monday night in a Central Penn Interscholastic Hockey League game at Twin Ponds West.

With the York County team holding a 4-3 advantage going into the final period, it scored five of the frame's six goals, including the final four, to pull away. CY/Dallastown (9-5) held a 4-2 lead after the opening period, but the Shamrocks (2-11) scored the only goal in the second period to make it a one-goal game going into the final 16 minutes.

Jordan Kline and Colin Young each had two-goal nights for CY/Dallastown, while five players on the team had multi-point games. CY/Dallastown jumped ahead of York County rival Susquehannock to move into third place in the Tier 3 standings.
