The Central York High School golf dynasty still reigns.
The Panthers won their fifth straight York-Adams League Team Tournament championship on Wednesday afternoon at Briarwood East Golf Club.
Division I champion Central finished with a 292 total, to cruise to a 48-shot triumph over second-place Kennard-Dale, which finished at 340. The Rams were the Division II champions. Division III champion York Catholic took third with a 351 total.
The Panthers were led by senior standout Carson Bacha, who scorched the East Course for a 6-under-par 66.
The Auburn University recruit, however, was far from a one-man show. Each of Central's four other scoring players shot in the 70s. That group included Jun Lee (73), Cole Sevick (76) and Alex Gekas (77).
None of the other golfers in the field could break 80.
Central's win also gave it a berth into the District 3 Class 3-A Team Tournament. The Panthers and Rams were vying for the 3-A berth from the York-Adams League. York Catholic had already sewn up the York-Adams 2-A berth for the district event.
The district team tournament is set for Tuesday, Oct. 1, back at Briarwood East.
K-D was led by Josh Behles on Wednesday with an 81, followed by Alexandra Smith (84), Nick Fowler (86) and James Hook (89).
York Catholic's four scoring players were Russ McPaul (80), Patrick Doran (89), Max Kile (90) and Josh Sutton (92).
The York-Adams League Individual Championships will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26. The boys will be at Briarwood East, while the girls will play at Briarwood West. The event will also serve as an individual district qualifier in both Class 3-A and 2-A.
