PREP:Central York rolls to 28-shot triumph in York-Adams Division I golf match

  • Central York rolled to a 28-shot victory in a York-Adams Division I golf match on Thursday.
  • Joe Parrini shot 71 to lead the Panthers to the win at Out Door Country Club.
  • Julianne Lee, Carson Bacha and Jun Lee each shot 75s for the Panthers.

Central York had four golfers shoot 75 or lower on Thursday to cruise to a 28-shot victory in a York-Adams Division I golf match at Out Door Country Club.

University of Arizona recruit Joe Parrini fired a 71 to earn individual medalist honors. 

Parrini's teammates — Julianne Lee, Carson Bacha and Jun Lee — each shot 75s to give the Panthers a 296 total.

None of the other golfers in the field could break 80.

Dallastown finished second at 324, followed by Spring Grove (340), New Oxford (340), Red Lion (391), South Western (425) and Northeastern (428).

Central is now 18-0 in three Division I tournaments. Spring is second at 13-5, while Dallastown is third at 12-6 and New Oxford is fourth at 11-7.

OTHER GOLF

Roberts leads Susquehannock to win at Bon Air: At Bon Air County Club, Andrew Roberts shot a 79 to lead the host team, Susquehannock, to a 327 total and a first-place finish in a York-Adams Division I golf match.

Littlestown's Devin Peart also shot 79. They were the only players to break 80 on the tough Glen Rock-area layout.

West York (370) took second, but finished a whopping 43 shots behind the Warriors. The Bulldogs were followed by York Suburban (373), Eastern York (382), Dover (384), Kennard-Dale (402) and Gettysburg (405).

Susquehannock is 12-0 in the division, followed by York Suburban (9-3). Eastern York and West York are tied for third at 7-5.

GIRLS' TENNIS

York Suburban 5, Spring Grove 0: At Suburban, the Trojans received singles victories from Liv Pindzola, Alex Clancy and Lucy Smith. Skylar Volz and Ini Ekaha combined to win at No. 1 doubles, while Kelly Sargen and Zoe Prats won at No. 2 doubles.
