GOLF: York Catholic wraps up perfect regular season

The York Catholic golf team wrapped up the York-Adams League Division III title with a 57-stroke win on Thursday at South Hills Golf Course near Hanover.

Andrew Forjan and Jon Giambalvo finished first and second, respectively, for the Fighting Irish, pacing the team to a four-player team score of 308. Forjan shot a 72, while Giambalvo was just behind him with a 73. Josh Stewart's 81 and Steven Nigro's 82 were also taken for York Catholic's team score. Bermudian Springs finished second at 365, followed by Fairfield's 399.

Stewart's 81 tied him for third with York Tech's Abe Miller, while Nigro's 82 was good for fifth.

York Catholic completed a perfect 30-0 D-III season. It'll take part in Y-A League team tournament next week against Central York from Division I and Dover in Division II.
