GOLF: York Catholic clinches Division III title

The York Catholic golf team had little trouble securing the York-Adams League Division III title on Tuesday, winning by 52 strokes at Springwood Golf Course.

The Fighting Irish four-man team score of 303 was helped by having three players fire in the 70s. Only one other player, Alex May of York Tech, broke 80, shooting a 78. Bermudian Springs finished second with a 355, followed by Hanover's 401.
York Catholic was led by Andrew Forjan, who shot the low round of 71, one stroke better than teammate Jon Giambalvo. The Fighting Irish's Josh Stewart fired a 79.
The Irish improved to 25-0 in Division III action with one match left.
