GOLF: Division I players go low at Springwood


The York-Adams Division I golfers put on quite a show on Wednesday afternoon at Springwood Golf Course.

Dallastown's Blake Sebring fired a 1-under-par 68 to win individual medalist honors, while Central York's Joe Parrini shot a 69 to lead Central York to the team victory.

Dallastown's Blake Sebring shot a 74 on Monday at The Bridges Golf Club, helping the Wildcats to the match victory.

The Panthers totaled a season-best 292. Julianne Lee fired a 71 for the Panthers, while Carson Bacha shot a 72. Central finished 12 shots ahead of Dallastown (304), while New Oxford was third at 314.

Dallastown's Evan Greenplate and New Oxford's Justin Gruver each shot 74s. In all, 11 golfers broke 80.

Central improved to 24-0 in Division I, while Dallastown improved to 20-4.

York Catholic triumphs: At Flatbush Golf Club near Littlestown, York Catholic remained unbeaten in York-Adams Division III action at 15-0.

The Irish finished with a 318 total, which was 10 shots better than second-place York Tech (12-3). Bermudian was third at 363.

York Catholic's Dillon Hippensteel shot a 5-over-par 76 to win individual medalist honors. York Tech's Abe Miller shot 78. They were the only two golfers to break 80.
