GOLF: York Catholic finishes off perfect York-Adams Division III season

York Catholic finished off a perfect York-Adams Division III golf season on Monday with a team victory at Range End Golf Club.

The Fighting Irish finished with a 317 total, which was 35 shots ahead of second-place York Tech. Hanover was third at 370.

York Catholic finished the season at 30-0-0 in division action. York Tech finished second at 24-6, while Delone was third at 17-13.

Andrew Forjan led the Irish on Monday with a 2-under-par 69 at the Dillsburg-area course. No other golfer managed to break 80.

Panthers excel at Out Door: Central York, meanwhile, continued its dominance of Division I golf on Monday with a victory at Out Door Country Club.

The Panthers finished with a total of 308 to finish 15 shots ahead of second-place Spring Grove. New Oxford and Dallastown each finished at 334, but the Colonials won the tiebreaker for third place.

Dallastown's Evan Greenplate took individual medalist honors with a 72, followed by Central's Gus Minkin and Conner Bacha at 73. Only two other golfers broke 80 on the day. New Oxford's Justin Gruver and Spring Grove's Mason Staub each fired 76s.

Central improved to 18-0-0 on the season, while second-place Spring Grove sits at 13-5-0. Dallastown is third at 11-7-0.
