Eastern York, York Catholic win York-Adams golf matches


Eastern York got its York-Adams Division II golf season off to a strong start on Monday at Meadow Brook Golf Course near Gettysburg.

The Golden Knights had three golfers shoot 73 or better. Andrew Davis led the way with a 70, while teammates Kevin Crumbling and Zach Dixon each added 73s. The only other golfers to break 80 on the day were Susquehannock's Kendel Abrams (78), Susquehannock's Mike Passio (79) and Dover's Logan Snyder (79).

Eastern finished first as a team with a 306 total, followed by Susquehannock (338), Dover (349), West York (353), Gettysburg (362), York Suburban (395) and Kennard-Dale (428).

York Catholic takes Division III event: York Catholic took its second straight York-Adams Division III match on Monday at South Hills Golf Course near Hanover.

York Catholic's Dimitri Amalfitano was the individual medalist with an even-par 71. His teammate, Andrew Forjan, shot a 75 and was the only other player to break 80.

The Fighting Irish finished with a 309 total, followed by York Tech (338), Delone (348), Hanover (388), Fairfield (415) and Bermudian (432).
