York-Adams League girls' volleyball programs recently finished the District 3 playoffs with one champion, one runner-up and three other semifinalists.

Not surprisingly, when the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association District 3 all-star teams were released this week, the Y-A League was very well represented, with 31 local players recognized.

Suburban leads way in 3-A: That included seven players from York Suburban, which claimed the district 3-A crown.

The Y-A Division II champion Trojans placed two players on the district 3-A first team: junior outside hitter Eliana Rodgers and senior middle hitter Madison Perring. Also on that team was Spring Grove junior outside hitter Hailey Wolfe, who helped the Rockets to a share of the Y-A D-I crown and a district semifinal berth.

Rodgers had earlier been named the Y-A D-II Player of the Year, while Wolfe won the same honor in D-I. Rodgers will play NCAA Division I college volleyball for Sacred Heart in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Making the district 3-A second team from the Y-A League were Suburban senior setter Caitlin Springer, West York junior middle hitter Amaya Jones, Eastern York senior outside hitter Sarah Moore, Spring Grove senior middle hitter Angalyn Strouse and Spring Grove junior outside hitter Naveah Wolfe.

The local third-team members on the district 3-A list were Suburban senior outside hitter Mackenzie Corsa, Suburban junior middle hitter Zoe Haines, Suburban junior middle hitter Grace Hare, Suburban senior libero Peyton Lando and Spring Grove senior libero Fayln McGlynn.

In all, 13 Y-A athletes earned district 3-A honors.

York Catholic leads Class 2-A honorees: Eleven Y-A players were selected for one of the district 2-A teams, including five first-team picks.

Three of the first-team selections were from Y-A D-III champion York Catholic: senior outside hitter Hope Leavy-Gaskins, senior middle hitter Shannon Toomey and senior libero Madline Walker. Leavy-Gaskins, a Shippensburg University recruit, was the Y-A D-III Player of the Year.

York Catholic finished second in the district 2-A playoffs.

Delone had two district 2-A first-team selections: senior libero Shalee Clabaugh and junior outside hitter Holly Neiderer.

Two more York Catholic players made the district 2-A second team: junior setter Lindsey Beck and junior defensive specialist Mia Citrone.

Littlestown had two district 2-A second-team picks: junior middle hitter Mikayla Orwig and senior setter/outside hitter Hailey Riley.

Delone also had a pair of district 2-A second-team selections: junior setter Olivia Snyder and junior middle hitter Meredith Wilson

Delone and Littlestown were each district 2-A semifinalists.

Class 4-A honorees: In 4-A, seven Y-A athletes earned district honors, led by two first-team picks: South Western senior outside hitter Emma Filipovits and Dallastown senior outside hitter Sydney Ohl.

Filipovits helped South Western to a share of the Y-A D-I crown.

Making the district 4-A second team were South Western senior setter Makayla Dyson, Central York junior middle hitter Teha Shaw and Central York junior setter Abbey Stiffler.

The third-team district 4-A local selections included Dallastown senior middle hitter Lexy Bloss and Central York senior libero Alexis Southivong.
