GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL: Red Lion outlasts Susquehannock

Red Lion outlasted Susquehannock in a non-league meeting of York-Adams League girls' volleyball powers on Monday night, 25-23, 19-25, 24-26, 28-26, 15-13.

Susquehannock came in at 5-1 in York-Adams Division II, while Red Lion is 4-1 in Division I. The match was played at Glen Rock.

Lindsay Blevins (24 kills), Logan Dontell (12 kills, 21 digs), Lauren Enfield (nine kills, 28 digs) and Maddie Grim (41 assists) paced the winners.

Susquehannock was paced by Jaden Walker (eight kills, 12 digs), Amber Sweitzer (18 digs, 38 assists), Abby Deter (11 kills, 25 digs), Tyler Williams (12 kills, 18 digs) and Amber Bortner (26 digs).

Susquehannock won the JV match, 2-1.

York Suburban 3, Dover 1: At Suburban, Georgia DuMars dished out 33 assists and Chey Buckingham had 11 kills as the Trojans won, 25-15, 25-20, 17-25, 25-21. Eryn McBride added 23 digs to the winning cause. Emma Davis had 15 kills and teammate Abby Diehl had 30 assists and 13 digs for Dover.

York 3, McCaskey 1: At Lancaster, the Bearcats triumphed, 16-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-10. Wilmarie Ortiz (eight digs, three kills) and Natalie Seguinot (five service aces) paced York.

West York 3, South Western 1: At Hanover, the Bulldogs won, 25-13, 24-26, 25-18, 25-12. Abbey James had 29 assists for West York, while Trilby Kite had 15 digs. South Western got seven kills from Ali St. Rose. South Western won the JV match, 2-0.

New Oxford 3, Littlestown 2: At New Oxford, the Colonials won, 25-22, 19-25, 27-25, 25-12, 15-12. Lorae Fidler led the Colonials with nine kills and four digs. Teammate Carly Rippeon had 11 kills. New Oxford won the JV match, 2-0.

Gettysburg 3, Spring Grove 1: At Gettysburg, the Warriors won, 25-23, 25-20, 19-25, 25-23. Tess Lampe led the Warriors with 10 kills. Teammate Alexis Tomassini had 30 assists and 12 digs. For the Rockets, Autumn Leese had 12 kills and 17 digs, while Josie Attig had 29 assists and five digs, and Faith Shaffer had six kills and 12 digs. Spring Grove won the JV match, 2-1.
