The Red Lion girls’ volleyball team won a thrilling, five-game match against Central York on Thursday night, 25-22, 25-17, 16-25, 21-25, 15-8.

The win moved the Lions to 4-1 in York-Adams Division I play, while the Panthers fell to 3-2. Dallastown leads the division with a  5-1 mark.

Red Lion’s Lindsey Blevins had a match-high 27 kills, while Logan Dontell added 11 and Lauren Enfield had 10. Her sister, Jenna, had 21 digs in the match, while Maddie Grim had 46 assists.

The Panthers got 14 kills and five blocks from Kamryn Stambaugh, while Emma Saxton had 44 assists. MacKenna Caruso finished with 11 digs.

Central York’s JV team won its match, 2-0.

York Catholic 3, Lancaster Catholic 0: At Lancaster Catholic, the Irish won the non-league match, 25-21, 25-11, 25-17. Rachel Shelley led the Irish with 10 kills. Also for the Irish, Megan Daugherty had 11 digs and 18 assists, Rosalee Najdek had seven digs and Emily Hoffman had four kills, four digs and nine assists.

Dallastown 3, South Western 0: At Dallastown, Delaney Kolb slammed 10 kills and Gabby Ream delivered 29 assists as the Wildcats prevailed, 25-20, 25-22, 25-19. Madisyn McMaster had 16 assists, nine kills and six digs, while Kaitly Chell added 17 digs for South Western.

Susquehannock 3, York High 0: At York High, Gabee Ogude and Tyler Williams each posted seven kills as the Warriors cruised, 25-3, 25-7, 25-11. Amber Bortner added eight aces and Amber Sweitzer had 17 assists for Susquehannock. Wilmarie Ortiz had four kills and two digs and Natalie Seguinot had five digs for the Bearcats.

Eastern York 3, Gettysburg 1: At Wrightsville, Brooke LeCesa had 14 kills and Liz Pyles posted 19 assists as the Knights won 25-18, 21-25, 25-18, 26-24. Natalie Grim (27 digs), Brianna Wells (17 digs) and Katie Lehman (15 digs) were solid on defense for Eastern York. Sammi Faloon had 16 kills for Gettysburg.

Kennard-Dale 3, Northeastern 1: At Manchester, the Rams won, 25-20, 26-24, 18-25, 25-22. Jess Moore led the visitors with 10 kills. Also for KD, Jaden Gray had six kills, while Abbey Anderson had 19 assists. For the Bobcats, Courtney Klinger had seven kills and four blocks, while Shayna Dozier had seven digs and six assists and Jackie Kurilla had three kills.

Delone Catholic 3, Fairfield 0: At McSherrystown, the Squirettes won, 25-6, 25-11, 25-14. Karigen Emig led the home team with six kills and three aces, while Autumn Altland had six kills and five blocks. Delone won the JV match, 2-0.

Littlestown 3, Hanover 2: At Littlestown, the Thunderbolts won, 25-19, 18-25, 25-13, 27-29, 15-7. Emily Staub led the home team with five kills, 17 digs, 27 assists and five blocks. Teammate Hanna Riley had 15 kills, eight digs and three aces. For Hanover, Lexi Daley had nine kills and 29 assists.

Bermudian Springs 3, York Tech 1: At York Springs, the Eagles won, 25-14, 25-20, 20-25, 25-19. Emily Alvarez led the Eagles with six digs and four assists. Teammate Bree Farley had three kills. For the Spartans, Brooke Glass had 25 digs and 12 assists, MaryBeth Diaz had five kills, eight digs and five blocks and Kayli Shoff had 33 digs, nine assists and four aces. Bermudian won the JV match, 25-10, 25-5.

Spring Grove 3, Dover 1: At Spring Grove, the home team grabbed the win. No other details were available.
