GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL: Central York finishes off perfect York-Adams Division I season


Central York finished off a perfect York-Adams Division I girls' volleyball season on Thursday night with a 25-14, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21 victory over visiting Spring Grove.

Central finished 12-0 in division action.

Emily Poole led the Panthers with 20 kills and six digs. Also for Central, Emma Saxton had 47 assists and 15 digs, Kamryn Stambaugh had 11 kills and four digs and Natalie Hawksworth had 12 kills and three digs.

For the Rockets, Laken Bankert had 13 digs and six kills, while Josie Attig had 25 assists and 10 digs and Autumn Leese had six kills and 13 digs.


Susquehannock 3, West York 1: At Glen Rock, Laura Savin led the Warriors to the 25-16, 22-25, 25-14, 25-18 victory with 13 kills, 22 digs and nine aces. Also for the Warriors, Kelly Franz had 28 assists, eight digs and five kills, Karah Sweitzer had 21 digs and Abby Ferraro had 14 digs and three aces. For the Bulldogs, Amanda Sides had nine kills and seven digs, while Abbey James had 33 assists, eight digs and three kills and Marissa Krinock had eight kills. Susquehannock sewed up the outright York-Adams Division II crown at 13-1.

Red Lion 3, Dallastown 0: At Dallastown, Lindsey Blevins led the Lions to a 25-17, 25-14, 25-18 victory with 11 kills and 11 digs. Also for the Lions, Logan Dontell had 11 kills and 10 digs, Rachel Groff had 29 assists and seven digs and Lauren Enfield had eight kills and 10 digs. For the Wildcats, Kat Forry had seven kills and seven digs, Gabby Ream had nine assists and three aces and Emma Mason had 11 assists. Dallastown won the JV match, 27-25, 25-21.

York Suburban 3, Kennard-Dale 0: At Suburban, the Trojans won, 27-25, 25-13, 25-10. Ciara Buckingham led the home team with seven kills, four blocks and four digs. Also for Suburban, Molly Sargen had four aces and eight digs, Georgia DuMars had 13 assists and Jordan Landis had seven digs and three aces. Suburban finished York-Adams Division II play at 12-2. The Trojans won the JV match, 25-16, 25-18.

South Western 3, Dover 0: At Dover, the Mustangs rolled, 25-17, 25-19, 25-20. Hannah McMaster (six kills, five aces, 10 assists, seven digs), Tori Sager (10 digs, seven kills), Summer Small (eight kills), Abi Gatz (14 digs) and Bonna Sheehan (12 assists) led South Western. Dover's leaders were Abby Diehl (11 assists, six digs), Jordan Baum (10 digs) and Emma Davis (six kills). Dover the won JV match, 19-25, 26-24, 17-15.

Delone Catholic 3, Hanover 0: At McSherrystown, the Squirettes won, 25-12, 25-10, 25-23. Sarah Senft led the home team with seven kills and 10 digs, while Katie Laughman had 28 assists and six digs. For the Hawkettes, Alexa Merrell had six kills. Delone finished off a perfect Division III season at 12-0. The Squirettes won the JV match, 25-7, 25-10.

Littlestown 3, Fairfield 0: At Fairfield, the Thunderbolts won, 25-13, 25-17, 25-20. Emily Staub led the visitors with 24 assists, six aces, five kills and five digs. Littlestown won the JV match, 25-10, 25-8.
