GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL: York Catholic, Kennard-Dale storm back from 2-0 holes to earn wins

York Catholic 3, Littlestown 2: At York Catholic, the Irish trailed 2-0 (22-25, 21-25) but rallied to win the final three games (25-10, 25-22, 15-8). Eliza Johnson led the Irish with 12 kills. Also for the Irish, Emily Hoffman had seven kills and six digs, Rachel Shelley had nine kills and four aces and McKenna Walker had 30 assists and 10 digs. Littlestown won the JV match, 26-24, 13-25, 15-11.

Kennard-Dale 3, Gettysburg 2: At Gettysburg, the Rams battled back from an 0-2 hole to earn the road victory, 22-25, 25-27, 25-23, 25-21, 15-13. K-D got a 43-assist effort from Adrianna Hoke, while Katie Leftridge finished the night with 24 kills and 21 digs. For Gettysburg, Emma Harvey came up with 22 digs, while Jess Sandoe had a 13-kill match. The Warriors won the JV match, 20-25, 25-7, 15-6.

Central York 3, New Oxford 0: At New Oxford: Emily Poole slammed a match-high nine kills and Emma Saxon dished out a match-high 27 assists in the Panthers' 25-16, 25-14, 25-20 sweep. Wren Berry paced New Oxford with 13 kills, and Taylor Laughman added five kills and two digs.

Red Lion 3, Dover 0: At Red Lion, the home team rolled, 25-8, 25-10, 25-13. Rachel Groff (22 assists, 11 digs), Logan Dontell (12 digs, nine kills), Lauren Enfield (nine digs, eight kills) and Emily Sterner (10 digs) paced the Lions. Dover's leaders were Chace Hoffman (six digs, four kills), Katie Kannada (five digs, four assists) and Jordan Baum (seven digs). Dover won the JV match, 25-27, 25-17, 15-9.

Bermudian Springs 3, York Tech 0: At York Tech, the Eagles won, 25-8, 25-10, 25-4. Kirstyn Evans had a seven kills for the Spartans, while Brooke Glass finished with 11 assists. Bermudian also won the JV match, 25-19, 25-12.

Hanover 3, Fairfield 0: At Hanover, a well-rounded performance from Kelsey Staub helped the hosts claim a 25-14, 25-10, 25-10 sweep. Staub posted 10 assists, six aces, four digs and three kills.

South Western 3, Spring Grove 1: At Spring Grove, the Mustangs won 25-20, 29-31, 25-16, 25-14. Abi Gatz had a match-high 21 digs for South Western, while Tori Sager and Summer Small each finished with nine kills. Spring Grove's Lexi Yingling (18), Autumn Leese (15) and Josie Attig (14) combined for 47 digs. The Mustangs won the JV match, 25-17, 25-17.

York Suburban 3, York High 0: At Suburban, the host Trojans rattled off a decisive 25-9, 25-7, 25-9 victory, thanks in part to a 15-assist, five-ace performance from Georgia DuMars. Ciara Buckingham added seven kills and four digs to the winning cause.

Susquehannock 3, Eastern York 0: At Wrightsville, the Warriors swept the Golden Knights, 25-15, 25-12, 26-24, to earn the road victory. Gabee Ogude had nine kills for Susquehannock, while Kara Sweitzer added 16 digs. Eastern's Liz Pyles finished with 18 assists. The Warriors also won the JV match, 30-28, 25-14.

McCaskey 3, York High 0: At McCaskey on Monday, the Bearcats fell, 25-17, 25-11, 25-19. McCaskey also won the JV match, 25-13, 25-16.
